Mull Historical Society


Colin Macintyre a.k.a Mull Historical Society has been releasing music for over ten years as one of the most celebrated and creative Scottish recording artists of recent years. He has released music both as himself and as Mull Historical Society. He is known for using 'found sounds' on his recordings, with everything from train announcers to the shipping forecast included in his music. He has received prizes and acclaim for his writing from, among others, NME, and The List magazine (voted as one of the greatest Scottish bands of all time.) His most clebrated singles are 'Watching Xanadu', 'Animal Cannabus', 'How 'Bout I Love You More', and 'Barcode Bypass'. He has been releasing music since 2000 including such albums as Loss, Us, This Is Hope, and City Awakenings.
